1^st CONVOCATION CEREMONY OF THE JAIPUR NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Jaipur National University’s 1^st Convocation Ceremony was held on 16^thJanuary 2010. Mr. Sandeep Bakshi, the honourable Chancellor of the University, declared the convocation open. Degrees were conferred upon the Students of Bachelor’s, Master’s and M.Phil. courses. Shri Oscar Fernandes, honourable Member of Parliament and former Union Minister delivered the convocation address and gave away the gold medals to the meritorious students. He was accompanied by his wife Smt. Blossom Fernandes. Shri Fernandes expressed his great pleasure in attending the convocation and hoped that the university grows into a world class university. The ceremony was also graced by Dr. Jitendra Singh, honourable minister of higher education, Govt. of Rajasthan and Shri Rajendra Pareek, honourable Minister for Industries, Govt. of Rajasthan. Dr. Singh admired the beautiful architecture and serene environment of the university and prayed for the success of the students in their future endeavors. Mr. Pareek congratulated the students and praised the discipline of the university. Prof. K. L. Sharma, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, presented the university report. In the end Prof. H.N. Verma, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, thanked the guests. The elation of the students in robes and their parents knew no bounds on this august day.
