Business and Management are today’s buzz words in every walk of life. How one transacts business and how one manages it, would impact harmony in a family/group and pay dividends in an organization. Management is a holistic science, craft and wisdom. Creation of infrastructure or deployment of manpower is not enough; skillful utilization of resources and proper allocation of work to people are equally or even more important considerations in today's economy.

The various Management Programmes at JNU, namely, MBA, PGDM, dual degree in Engineering and Management, BBA, B.Com., and Ph.D aim to train young men and women to become talented and creative business professionals.

 

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), SIILAS Campus
The B.Com. programme aims at a good understanding of different aspects of modern commerce, such as Accountancy & Business Statistics, Business Administration, Economic Administration and Financial Management. In all, 18 different core areas are covered during a period of three years. Besides theoretical orientation, emphasis is also placed on practical experience, communication skills and personality development in a computer savvy environment. “Knowledge Management”, which is the need of the hour, constitutes an integral part of our management programmes.

Eligibility	10+2 examination with a minimum of 40% marks from any stream (Arts/Commerce/Science).
Selection procedure	Direct admission through personal interview

 

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), SIILAS Campus
Bachelor of Business Administration is an undergraduate course, designed for school leaving students, who wish to make a career as business professionals. The course provides advanced knowledge of Management, and it is specially geared to infuse management ethos among the students from day one, so that they are able to compete in the global business world.

The course curriculum meets the corporate requirements. Professionalism and management skills are inculcated among the students both at the conceptual and empirical levels. Efforts are made to stimulate the students to realize goals in difficult and divergent situations through various interactive sessions and assignments.

After completion of the Bachelor's programme, students have ample opportunities to pursue Postgraduate studies, or to opt for jobs in private and corporate sectors.

Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), JNU Main Campus
Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Equivalent to M.B.A.) is a two-year (Four-Semester) programme approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. It aims to impart Management education focusing on corporate sectors, developing professional thinking and academic excellence.

The global pedagogy, simulation model (i.e. correlating theory with empirical realities), and inclusion of innovations are at the core of the teaching and learning process. The two years' programme has specializations in Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource Management. We enable the students for competition and placements.

Duration	2 Year
Eligibility	Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks & with minimum score as per university norms in MAT/CAT/JNU NET/RMAT/JCCAT.
Selection procedure	Through group discussion and personal interview

Adequate emphasis is put on the study of International Business, Retailing, Insurance, Information Technology, Enterprise Resource Planning, etc.

Master of Business Administration (MBA), JNU Main Campus
The main emphasis is on the study of Marketing, Finance and Resource Management. Students are geared to grasp complex theoretical formulations and their applications to ground realities. Equal attention is given to the understanding of theories and concepts based on empirical realities. To ensure imparting of such a balanced education, semester system, continuous internal evaluation, emphasis on written and oral skills, field visits, interaction with business organizations, etc., have been incorporated as an integral part of teaching and training.

Eligibility	Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks & with minimum score as per university norms in MAT/CAT/JNU NET/RMAT/JCCAT.

Ph.D. Programme (Management)

Duration	2 Year
Eligibility	Masters degree in Management/Commerce with at least 55% of marks.

Prof. Rajesh Mehrotra, having MBA with specialization in Marketing from FMS, New Delhi, and in Finance from IMS, Indore. More than 32 years, he has experienced a blend of Industry and Management Education. He has had a rich exposure in the corporate world in field of Strategic and Marketing Management before joining Jaipur National University.

Prof. Mehrotra has served in Indian and Multinational Companies at senior levels such as VP/CEO. He has also worked as CEO at Los Angeles, USA.

Prof. Mehrotra was involved in formulation of a project on promotion of Radial Tires in India in collaboration with General Tires, USA. He has been working as Director in Management Institutions since 2001. He is the Director of the School of Business & Management.
