School of Education, formerly known as Seedling Institute of Teacher Training is located in Jaipur National University campus at picturesque & pollution free sight with architecturally well designed and well laid out, separately demarcated building having spacious classrooms, innovative and functional labs along with outdoor facilities like seminar & conference halls, Auditorium, latest computer network with broad band internet facilities, fully digitalized central library, reading rooms, separately & richly stacked with latest books & journals of education, Boys & Girls hostel, Cafeteria & Mess facilities, Playground, Gymnasium, Lush green lawns with well maintain plantation.
» In July 2005, the Seedling Institute of Teacher Education came into existence and started one-year B.Ed. programme with an intake of 100 students after seeking NOC from the Rajasthan Government and recognition from the NCTE. It was affiliated with the University of Rajasthan (UoR).
» In August 2006, the NCTE permitted M.Ed programme with an intake of 25 students. In August 2007, an additional unit of B.Ed. with an intake of 100 students was allowed by the NCTE (with Science and Commerce Teaching).
» In the same year (2007), a teacher’s-training programme, including a two-year elementary teacher-training Programme and a two-Year Nursery teacher-training programme were started with an intake of 50 students in each. Both the programmes are recognized by the NCTE and the State Government of Rajasthan.
» After the establishment of the Jaipur National University on October 21, 2007, all the above Programmes became part of the University and the Seedling Institute of Teacher’s Training is renamed as School of Education
