“National Seminar on Modern Trends and Techniques in Computing” on 30th March 2010
“National Seminar on Modern Trends and Techniques in Computing” organized by the School of Computer and Systems Sciences, Jaipur National University on 30th March 2010 witnessed an overwhelming response from students and faculty of various colleges and universities all over the country.
The seminar was inaugurated by Mr. Sandeep Bakshi, the Chancellor of the university. In his opening remarks he emphasized on the importance of such events for students. Prof. H.N. Verma, Pro Vice Chancellor in his address gave an introduction to the university.
The guest of honour of the event was Prof. Mahesh Chandra Govil who is the Principal of Government Women Engineering College, Ajmer and the Director of Centre of E-Governance. He praised this effort of the Jaipur National University and gave a very informative presentation on “Scenario of IT Education and Industry in Rajasthan”.
The seminar was also marked by the presence of distinguished scholars like Prof. D. Pandey, Prof. V.K. Sehgal, Dr. M.P. Singh, Dr. Sanjiv Kumar and Prof. K.C. Deomurari who delivered lectures on their fields of research and commended the state of the art facilities and infrastructure of the Jaipur National University.
The faculty members and Students of PG courses threw light on variety of aspects of computer science through paper presentations. The students of graduate courses provided a very picturesque view of modern computing through posters. All in all this interaction among students and faculty was a great success.
In the end Prof. C.P. Malik, the Academic Advisor, gave vote of thanks to all the participants and guests.
