The department of English, School of Languages Literature and Society organized a Faculty Student Seminar on 20 February, 2021 from 1.30 pm to 3.30pm in the presence of the Head Department of English Dr. Rana Zaidi and all the faculty members of the department of English. The students who had presented were Tulsi Mathur, B.A. (Hons.) II year - Critical scrutiny of ‘Literature in Northern Nigeria, Language and Popular Culture’, analysis of emergence of literature in Nigeria; external and internal environment that impacted the culture and ideas of the region. Sylvia, B.A. (Hons.) III year - ‘Women in Nation building’, a study of Naomi Alderman. Discussion upon role of Power, patriarchy v/s matriarchy and Feminism. The faculty who had presented was Dr. Sunil Kumar Kumavat- Presentation on ‘Relevance of Newspaper in enhancing Reading Ability amongst students’. A practical and interactive postpartum session on the functions and contents of a newspaper. The programme ended up with the valedictory note by the Head of the department Dr Rana Zaidi.
