An educational visit to Blood Bank and Pathology Department was organized for students of B. Tech Biotechnology (VIIth semester), School of Engineering and Technology, on, at Jaipur National Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The objective of the visit was to make students understand the requirement of blood donation, the complete process of donating blood, medical examinations (e.g., body weight, Blood typing analysis, Hb count etc.,)carried out before donating blood, initial processing of blood sample in a centrifuge for different applications and the process of blood preservation at different temperatures.
