This course is designed to introduce and explain the concepts and technology of a modern product manufacturing environment and to show how design and manufacturing are integrated within it to demonstrate the benefits and applications of computer technology in modern product & process manufacturing and design industries. M.Tech Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Production & Industrial Engineering is a two-year post-graduate programme that equips students with a knowledge of various disciplines including engineering sciences, manufacturing technology, management, and optimization of complex processes, systems, in organizations. The programme trains students to use efficient systems that integrate machines, workers, materials, information, and energy to provide a service or make a product.

Learning Perspective

The objective of the programme is to achieve higher productivity by adopting efficient planning, integrated design and operative systems in any manufacturing system. The coursework of the programme is a combination of manufacturing technology and management sciences which enables the students to solve complex problems related to industrial productivity through analysis production sales assessment and maintenance.
