Physics, the branch of Science, plays an important role in our day to day life. You know that from waking up in the morning to sleeping at night, every moment we use Physics everywhere. From a road worker to engineer, from a nurse to doctor, from a sportsman to astronaut, everyone uses Physics in his/her profession but some of them do not know which fundamental law of Physics actually they are using. As we know that the field of Physics is very broad but due to the shortage of space we are discussing here only some of the aspects of Physics which affect our daily life. In this blog we are going to discuss the utility and fundamental laws of Physics in our everyday life.
Why Do We Study Physics?
Basically our daily life is nothing without Physics. It involves basic fundamental laws of Newton like Law of Inertia, Law of Force and Law of Action and Reaction that define the motion of particles in a drastic manner. Physics tells us about the energy conservation of the universe as well as some other conservation laws. In fact Physics governs our daily life in a better way.
Physics familiarizes us with everything happening in the universe to us. Physics studies everything including interaction of particles, nuclear reaction on various planets, including the sun. It includes the phenomenon from head of a pin to a fighter jet. It involves the concept from radio to smart Television. It defines the principle from gramophone to smart phone, Laptop etc. It tells us how the sunlight includes a packet of energy called a photon, which is life of each and everyone living on the earth. It has various applications in many fields including bio medical, biophysics, instrumentation etc.
Physics Facts in our daily life
Physics affects our daily life by different principles, concepts and phenomena. There are many physics facts in our day to day life. Some of them are:
- Current may produce heat energy. Examples are electric iron, heater, hair dryer, electric Kettle, electric bulb etc.
- Current may produce a magnetic field. Examples are electric bells, telephone instruments, electric fans, electric motors, loudspeakers and toys etc.
- Sound waves can generate heat. Examples are music system, loudspeaker etc.
- Principle of touch screens is because of the conductivity.
- Without friction nobody can walk. Gravitational force and gravity are necessary for playing, jumping, sliding and running.
- Electronic devices such as phones, computers, bluetooth, speakers, alarm clocks, air conditioners, etc., now become the parts of our life.
- Various medical diagnoses such as X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), CT scan, ultrasound and ultrasonic blood flow measurements work on the Physics phenomenon.
- Washing machines dry clothes because the rotating container applies centrifugal force to its contents and throws water molecules radially outward on the fabric during the washing machine’s spin cycle.
Conclusion:
AS we have stated already that Physics affects our daily life and from morning to night we live the physics and use the Physics in effective way in our life. We can give a lot of examples as evidence like alarm clock, steam iron, ball point pen, head phone/ear phone, car seat belt, microwave oven, camera lens, cell phone, batteries, pressure cooker, gas lighter, water filter etc. Thus we see that the laws of physics affect our life in every matter of our daily activities and in this way Physics is very useful for the whole humanity.
