Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) program has been allotted to Jaipur National University on 23 October 2021 by the Ministry for Human Resource Development (MHRD) and IIT Delhi.

The five villages have been linked with JNU Jaipur for the social & economic empowerment of the villagers by data collection and arranging household surveys in all the villages. JNU has been organizing various medical camps in these villages for the benefits of health of villagers.

Key Points of this Scheme

  • Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is a flagship program of the Ministry for Human Resource Development (MHRD). 
  • It aims to  link the Higher Education Institutions with a set of at least (5) villages, so that these institutions can contribute to the economic and social betterment of these village communities using their knowledge base.

Main Objectives

  • To engage the faculty and students of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in identifying development issues in rural areas and finding sustainable solutions for the same.
  • Identify & select existing innovative technologies, enable customization of technologies, or devise implementation methods for innovative solutions, as required by the people.
  • To allow HEIs to contribute to devising systems for smooth implementation of various Government programmes.
  • This has transformed the living conditions in villages and has been beneficial for rural India.
  • Under the AY-2021-22 the house hold survey was started with the village Luniawas on 07 March 2022 with the help of 14 student volunteers. All the problems and data related to their living standards was collected as per forms given by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
