A Guest lecture was organized on the topic “Food Safety- Role & Responsibilities of Food Technologist in Food Business for Building Healthier Society”. Students of B.Tech. Food Technology (III, V & VIII semester students) attended the session. The guest speaker was Ms. Sonia Sawhney, who is Food Safety Trainer, consultant and Lead Auditor - ISO 9000, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC and ISO 14000. She is CEO of “V R THE WORLD PROFESSIONAL SERVICES”. Speaker enriched our students with the sound knowledge of various role and responsibilities as well as opportunities in the field. The Students were bestowed with knowledge about role of food technologist and their roles for Building Healthier Society.
