Computer Science Engineering is the study of designing, development and execution of software/hardware applications and computer- based systems. The rapid advancement in computer technology has resulted in great demand for computer science graduates. The study of computer science makes one competent to apply the basic principles of computing and use the latest methods to offer service solutions to academia, research, industry, government, private and business organizations. The programme is designed to teach the fundamentals of computers and programming to produce efficient software professionals.

Learning Perspective

This 4-year course involves the study of data structures, principles of computer architecture, programming languages such as C, C++, Java, software engineering, DBMS, Data Mining, etc. The course develops the student’s problem-solving and design capabilities, while also providing knowledge of computer-related topics such as numerical analysis, operations research, and artificial intelligence, language design, structure, and translation technique. Classroom teaching is supported with guest lectures by eminent scholars. Quality is ensured through regular upgrading of course contents and outstanding computing facilities. The students are regularly exposed to industry operations to strengthen their practical and professional skills.
