Pharmacy being integral part of healthcare system, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences constant endeavor is to establish itself as a centre of excellence in Pharmaceutical education and research.

World Pharmacist Day 2018 was celebrated at SILAS auditorium by School of Pharmaceutical Sciences on 25 th September 2018 on the theme of “Pharmacists are your medicines experts”. Beginning with the ‘Saraswati Vandana’ the program comprised of various educational and cultural events. Prof. Birendra Shrivastava, Director of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, enlightened the student with the virtues of the pharmacy field. Prof. Pankaj Sharma, Deputy Director, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, highlighted the major milestones of the pharmacy profession to the students. A small skit was performed by the students stressing the importance of pharmacist in the society and the healthcare structure. Plants with medicinal value were planted in the surroundings of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences by and in the presence of Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. H.N. Verma. At the end of the program Pharmacist oath was taken by all the faculty members and students to remain honest to the profession and follow the ethics.

Guest Lecture by Dr. Sunita Ranade (Deputy General Manager, Macleod Pharmaceuticals) was delivered on 06 th September 2018 at Auditorium, Engg. Block, SADTM Campus on “Challenges in Formulation Development” as a part of Industry Academia interaction. Dr. Ranade has over 20 yrs industrial experience in Formulation Development for EU, ROW and Domestic markets. The guest lecture brought in light the challenges faced by the industry now days in case of formulation development. The guest lecture was attended by the faculty members and the students of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and School of Basic Sciences (Chemistry).

Alumni meet of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences was organized on 12 January 2019 at the department itself. School boasts itself with alumni of different courses who are doing very outstanding in their respective fields ranging from industries, regulatory bodies and academics. Alumni meet was organized to connect the entire alumnus with their Alma matter and share their experiences during their stay as well as the recognition they got in their field of work as former students of JNU Jaipur.

Few alumni like Dr. Piush Sharma (Principal, MaharshiArvind College of Pharmacy), Dr. Manish Gupta (Principal, Jaipur College of Pharmacy), Dr. Manish Jaimini (Principal, Department of Pharmacy, MaharshiArvind University), Dr. Vishal Garg (Principal, Jaipur School of Pharmacy, Maharaja Vinayak Global University), Mr. Avinash Gupta (Associate Professor, Jaipur College of Pharmacy), Ms. Shilpa Bharti, Mr. HimanshuAwasthi (Clinical Research Coordinator, EHCC), Ms. Lakshita Saini (HR Executive, Monilek Hospital) and Mr. RamfalDubey (Clinical research coordinator, Fortis Hospital) shared their memories of the life spent in JNU.

Different offices were elected among the guests for the formation of the alumni association of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The event was successful in drawing the former students toward the institute that stood with times.
